During the Sunday school hour, we offer a nursery for babies, as well as classes for all agesof children and adults. The Primary Department consists of approximately 40 children ages 2 through grade 4.
About the Primary Department:
Sunday school begins with an opening singing time before going to the class for their age or grade level.
An optional offering is collected each Sunday and the money is used for special projects, such as supporting West Liberty Cares.
Nurturing adults from the congregation teach these classes and enjoy spending time with the children as together they learn more about the stories of God in the Bible, how much they are loved and how to love others.
For our curriculum we use Group Hands On! And Gather 'Round.
Once a year, the children in grades 2-4 join with the older students in grades 5-8 to perform a musical.
This past year, the musical was called Up, Up and Away! and was a fun way to travel back in time to celebrate Jesus' resurrection.
